New Features on the PS4 you may not know of.

New Features on the PS4 you may not know of.

One of the new features on the PS4 is the addition of options in the Playstation menu which you access by pressing the Playstation button located in the low center of your controller. While playing games, mostly first person shooters, your controller may start making noise at you! It is because of a speaker on the front. You can turn it off by pressing the button on your controller labeled OPTIONS and going down to adjust devices and the option that says Volume. You can also plug a headphone into the bottom of your controller to those sounds through your headphones and you have the option to either hear all audio through the headphones or only chat audio if you are hanging out with your friends and you want to hear them and perhaps talk to them through your headphones.

Another new feature on the PS4 is name requests.  This is when allows you to see a players real Name instead of their PSN ID.  You can send it to one of your friends and if they accept, then you are able to see their real name and they are able to see your real name.

If you ever decide to do this, do not worry about everyone knowing your true name or identity, because only that person can see your real name. To do this, go to your friends list and go to your friends then go to the PSN ID of whoever you want to send it to.  There will be an option right next to the trophy collection information that is labeled Send Name Request. Click that and if they want to they will accept and that’s how you use the name request feature on the ps4.

The last new feature on the ps4 I will be talking about and explaining is the trophy rarity feature. If you press X on your online ID it will show Trophies You Have Earned press X on that and you will see your trophy list. It will show all of the games you have played online that are possible to get trophies on. Go to whatever game you want to see trophies you have and ones you don’t have. It will show on the trophies how rare they are, based on how many people have that trophy.
